Stephen W. Bishop, MD, specializes in family practice - treating entire
families as well as individuals for general health maintenance and urgent,
acute and chronic medical problems. Special areas of interest include women's
health care and family-centered birthing. Dr. Bishop graduated from Wayne State
University Medical School, completing his residency at Providence Hospital. He
is a member of the Catholic Medical Association, Michigan Academy of Family
Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Society of Teachers
of Family Practice.

Jeffrey Berger, MD, emphasizes Behavioral Medicine within his Internal
Medicine practice. A graduate of Wayne State University Medical School, he is
active in the Catholic Medical Association, serving as Board Member/Secretary.
Dr. Berger, who completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Detroit General
Hospital, is also a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Our Support Staff
Judy Heinz, Practice Manager; Tracy Womer & Kelly Ervans, Medical Assistants, and Phyllis Johnston, Front Desk & Managed Care Coordinator. Our staff has a strong sense of purpose, and feels that they were brought to Sacred Heart Medical Centre not only to fulfill their own personal spiritual needs, but to become a part of God's plan to support and assist the physicians at Sacred Heart Medical Centre to build a culture of life and love with Christ-centered medical care that is faithful to the teachings of the Catholic Church. They are dedicated to providing personal and compassionate care, while serving families with respect and dignity.
