Guiding Principles
|
The staff of the Medical Center is devoted to:

Proclaiming the Kingdom of God through ministry to the sick and joining
together in prayer.

Providing excellence in medical care, while respecting the dignity of the human
person as a temple of God.

Embracing the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care
Services of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Integration of faith with all aspects of our daily lives, especially by:

Maintaining a Christ-like attitude at all times.

Offering our Lord all our work in prayer.

Freely talking about God and our relationship with Him, but always with love
and never through arguing or coercement.

Respecting and reverencing life:

Never to prescribe, counsel or refer for abortion, contraceptives or
sterilization.

Opposing abortion in all its forms, including the silent abortions of the pill
and the IUD.

Combating infanticide and euthanasia.

Promoting Natural Family Planning, for married patients, as a means to
responsibly order their married lives in accord with Christian respect for the
dignity of human life.

Advocating a chaste lifestyle for all patients, in accord with their state in
life.

Treating our patients with love and respect.

Reaching out to all patients regardless of race, creed, national origin, age,
or marital status.
